Don't Spam Blog Posts!

Attention seekers aren't attractive!

A lot of people may experience a feeling where you feel you must make another blog post urgently or else you won't receive more views or people may lose interest: don't bother! Don't bother making one post after another in such a short period, once a day or even a week is enough! Heck, some famous bloggers make only one post a month! Followers may get irritated if all they see on their blog updates is posts coming from you. They want to see others too!

So, stick with once a day. Making posts two or three times a day won't make much of a difference - it'll save your time too, so quit it with the OCD!

What can you do in your spare time? Gain ideas for your next blog post, maybe check out other people's blogs and think of good topics! It even helps with networking. :)

Just have a good night's sleep and look forward to tomorrow, and you should be happy with your results!

  1. I think this is only true for blogs that really say something. If your blog is filled with short posts, I think it'd be fine to post multiple updates.

  2. Ok, that's a fine piece of advice, but didn't you just spam three posts during just one day? :)

Also there is this problem that on one week you have thoughts for seventeen posts, and then the next only for four, but one of the first bits of advice avery blogger gets is to post regularly, so often you have to bother writing despite lack of material, but that's good, teaches you how to work methodically.

    Anyway, cool blog.

  3. I've been following this tip myself, I actually have a list on a piece of paper where I wrote down all the things I wanted to blog about. Stopped me from laying them all out at once and save some content for another day.

  4. Good tip! Whenever I think of a good idea for a blog post, but have already posted that day, I just make a mock-up of my idea in google documents.

  5. If you have a lot of ideas in one day just save them and schedule them to post over the next few days. That way you'll have updates for a while. A good friend of mine draws a webcomic and says the best way to do it is to always have 3 months of stuff done and ready to go. that way you can work when you feel creative and relax when you don't. either way things still come on a regular basis

  8. Definitely, its kind of hard to keep track of so many blogs and so many updates. Also I fear that if I say too much in a short period of time, I might run out of stuff to talk about.
