Polls Giving Extra Views On Blogger Bug?

Everyone seems to be having an issue with the Polls widget in blogger. It's giving them fake/ghost views in the tens or hundreds, and even thousands. The referral link is coming from the poll URL which certainly is not a legitimate viewer. There has yet to be a reply or fix from Adsense or Blogger team - so let's keep waiting, and hope this gets fixed soon! We don't want fake views included in our stats.

Blog Directories

Hello bloggers! Here comes another magnificent tip from Bux 4 Tux. Want tips on how to increase traffic? Blog directories are the way to go.

Adding your blog to a blog directory such as bloghunt.info allows people to find your blog with ease, rather than using big search engines such as Google, it allows people to find blogs in relation to their interests.

How do you add your blog to blog hunt? Here is how:

Search your desired blog name on your search bar, then click the red link (red link indicates the page does not exist yet.

Then describe your blog, then you're done! But not yet. In order to allow your audience to find you, you need to add yourself to the category that you pertain to. This is done by writing this at the end of your page: [[category:yourcategory]]

If you checked my other posts, a great thing to consider to improve your blogging experience is to have ads relate to the higher paying keywords, by moving to the topics in relation to those keywords.

Look interesting! If you have a million pop up ads on your site, no one would want to come back. Don't forget that! Get rid of annoying ads and popups, or you will instantly lose traffic! Make sure your website appears comfortable and interesting. :)

Struggling to find good blog ideas?

I'll give you some tips. Firstly it's basic that you blog on something you enjoy, right? Besides that: think about what your audience wants. Think about what attracts audience. Think about what makes them come back. Finally, make your blog interactive. If you link one blog post and make your reader dig deeper into your blog by positioning links at the right spot, you receive more traffic and more audiences.

There are several different good blog concepts. Mine for example is a blog about blogging, therefore I'm already in the right community to attract an audience. Blogspot! Here's another example of a good blog:

Play some games with yourself! Have fun while blogging! This is what I do to keep my mind off how much "money" or "audience" I'm attracting every day. Fun Fun Fun Fun!

Don't Spam Blog Posts!

Attention seekers aren't attractive!

A lot of people may experience a feeling where you feel you must make another blog post urgently or else you won't receive more views or people may lose interest: don't bother! Don't bother making one post after another in such a short period, once a day or even a week is enough! Heck, some famous bloggers make only one post a month! Followers may get irritated if all they see on their blog updates is posts coming from you. They want to see others too!

So, stick with once a day. Making posts two or three times a day won't make much of a difference - it'll save your time too, so quit it with the OCD!

Two Times More Views?

The simplest things like web design can make a big difference.

For example, not revealing your entire post on the blog page so that your readers want to click on the post to read the rest, gives an extra view. So if 100 people read your blog, that would give another 100 views. Think about the difference it could make! So it seems you want more followers reading your blog. Ever heard of, the infamous sub4sub phenomenon on YouTube? There seems to be a similar culture on nearly every networking website on the interwebs - Twitter, Youtube, and yes, even Blogspot. It is clear to me from past experience that if you comment, or follow someone, i.e. let them know you exist, there's a big chance that they'll follow you back!

Blogging is definitely a fair opportunity to earn some money and achieve typing skills. The typical way of revenue for bloggers are ad service providers - such as Adsense, AdBrite, and BidVertiser. So, how do the bloggers make money?

Well if a web surfer browsing your blog clicks an ad, it generates an amount of money that builds up until you can/wish to withdraw it. Don't think you can trick them! If you receive an uncanny amount of clicks in comparison to how many views you've got - it causes an unbalanced CTR (Click to Rate) and makes Google suspicious, generally around 5% is a normal CTR. So make sure it's balanced!
